The International Standard DIN EN ISO 1798 specifies a method for determining the strength and deformation properties of flexible cellular materials when a test piece is extended at a constant rate until it breaks.

Two test specimen mold types 1 and 1A are defined. The thickness should be 10 to 15 mm.
